Yes. In the fourth grade I was on a kids' quiz show in Traverse City


Michigan. It was called, "Bright As A Dollar." Each week a contestant would answer five questions and for each correct answer you'd get $1. You'd stay on the show as long as you kept winning. I won $38. My category was spelling. I missed "persuade". I had it as "persuede" and for the life of me I couldn't get that it was the "a" sound, not the "e".

Then in the mid-seventies, our band was on a charity telethon on a Bluefield TV station. Got to meet George Hamilton IV. Whoopee.
