He didn't like several things: one, they were pushed into doing it quickly by the record company, when he wanted to take a bit of a break, following the massive long tour for Fair Warning...
started out only as a single "Pretty Woman" and then record company pushed and demanded more, a full album... then Roth got cranked up on all the covers... Ed especially did not want to do "Dancin' in the Streets" at all.
Short album, full of covers, but, with that said, the original material is some great stuff... "Full Bug" rocks... totally rippin' tune, "Little Guitars" is an Eddie masterpiece. I especially like "Secrets".... it's sublime and an amazing solo he nailed in one take.
It's just overly done with cover songs... Where All the Good Times Gone, Pretty Woman, Dancin' Streets, Happy Trails.... this was the first noticeable movement by Roth toward being too Vegas showman, showtune entertainer.
Someone else down below mentioned Ed's phenomenal intro take into Pretty Woman called "Intruder".... amazing masterful use of feedback, and harmonic squeals....
I enjoy Diver Down, but Eddie did not like being pushed into doing it, did not like all the covers, and it clocks in at an underwhelming 28 minutes or so.
