I used to go to a golf clinic by Curtis Strange in williamsburg....He'd go


through all of the clubs in the bag starting from the wedges to the driver. By the time he got to the driver, he & the others started fooling around and just saying hit it as hard as you can....that is where/when ('88 & '89) I first heard grip it and rip it. We used to walk the range afterward because they used top of the line titleists for the pro's there. We'd sneak at least a couple dozen each out in our pockets/backpacks etc...what ever we could get them in. Got a lot of pro swag then too like one day used golf gloves...just had to remove the signatures on them. :)
