It's a bigger problem at VT than people think - VT is losing top profs

to other schools who are willing to pay them more and give them better facilities. UVA paid up and got VT's bioinformatics research team, UCLA stole our top robotics guy, and Arizona State got one of our top chemistry researchers. And, most insulting of all, NC State stole our top turkey researcher. We can survive having a bad football team. We can't survive losing our top academic talent.
