Couple of years ago I had a rental that I was getting ready to put up for


sale. Tenants were smokers & several detectors were missing batteries & disconnected.

The painter I hired told me to buy batteries and he’ll take care of it.

I ordered a box of 9 volts — Amazon brand.

A week later I walked in to inspect the work. Every detector in the house was chirping. Painting crew working through it.

I grabbed a ladder to check the battery. The painters installed them with the hard plastic wrap still on the battery.

Can’t believe I paid this guy to install all new lighting & plumbing fixtures.
