Celebrity private pics can generate some money, or it would drive a lot of traffic to the sites hosting it. But honestly, no hacker will make any money off your backpacking pictures. So there'd be no real incentive to hack into folks' vacation picture files. vacation pics on the cloud are probably OK.

However, there would be a financial reward for hacking into files containing your tax return info, account numbers, etc. So you'd want to be more careful where that is stored. Have to balance the added risk of storing it on the cloud against the risk of losing it entirely if your computer is stolen, fire, flood etc.
