PS3 and PS2 were similar situations. I will get a PS5 eventually, but


probably not before sometime next year for a few reasons:

1. I'm not going to go around hunting for one of these like I did the PS2 and PS3. I'm 20 years older than when the PS2 came out, and I just don't care enough to drive all over the place anymore. My time to game is severely limited now. This isn't 2001 in Hunter's Ridge when I'd sit around playing NCAA 2002 instead of studying for exams.

2. There won't be that many games I want anyway with the exception of the Miles Morales game, and I can wait for that.

3. There will be issues with the first batch. There always are. Let the early adopters find those and go through the warranty ship, repair, wait for return shipment game.

I do like the PS5 vs the Xbox Series X. If I happened to stumble upon a PS5 in the wild before the end of the year, I might pick it up, but I wouldn't be surprised if I left it on the shelf.
