I did an overnighter, and took my "twig" stove for it's initial cook (boil) test in the field. I tried it Saturday night, and found it took a long time to boil water. Way longer than I expected. Thought this was a bust, but I used it again yesterday morning, and found it worked extremely well. Boil times took longer than my JetBoil, but that's probably the fastest stoves on the market. The best part was the price of fuel...it's free. I took some "fire starter" sticks for insurance, but they weren't required. They just sped up the time required to get it fired.

I give this stove "two thumbs up."

Disclaimer: I only used it to boil water for coffee, hot chocolate, and freeze dried meals. This wouldn't be my first choice to cook things like bacon or eggs, but it could do it. You just have to constantly feed twigs to keep it going.
