I bought tires that were on sale (Bridgestone & Michelin), and they...

...arrived at my local store within a day or two. I also ordered a set of BFGs that weren't on sale that month, and those took a while (7-10 days?) to arrive. They had to find those in a warehouse that wasn't in this region, then ship them to the Norfolk store.
