discontinue my life insurance. I am 5-6 years away from retirement and at that point why would you need life insurance? If I have determined that I have enough for two of us to live on until we die, why would I keep paying so that one of us has a whole bunch more than we need? I suppose you could make the point that the kids would inherit more but the older you get the more expensive the premiums become.
