And we agreed it was refreshing to watch a show that didn’t interject characters that we hated or created overwhelming conflict.

For instance, we kind of expected the janitor to become a creep and take advantage of Harmon. But the relationship was fatherly. We kind of expected the stepdad to somehow steel Harmons money. But he didn’t, he was just a mild jerk and Harmon rose above. We kind of expected Her mom to take advantage of her, but their relationship was mutual and pleasant. We expected one of the guys to totally screw her over, but they didn’t.

I actually get tired of the over-the top frustrating characters that interject conflict and hate. Life isn’t always like that.
