Yeah, how to frame the question here...


best technical skills? best creative skills? eg songwriting, or I dunno, what do you call that philosophical skills? that is, being able to point other musicians in a direction, put money behind one's you like - know what's going on in music trends - etc.

I basically cheat and go with the guys I like. Gordy's a good answer depending on how you frame the question.
