My wife [No Shun] took my daughter to see Britney at the Roanoke Civic Cntr


Britney was at the height of her pre-teen fame.

Warm-up act played for about an hour. Then, Britney came out for a song or two. Went backstage and changed clothes while her band played one or two songs. Then she came out again for a song or two. After 45 minutes, she came on stage and announced her last (pre-encore) song. As the song was winding down, she left the stage waving to the adoring fans. The band played on as the camera followed her backstage, out the back of the civic center and onto the bus. She gave one final wave and the bus drove away. $100 freaking dollars.

All that being said, I sure do love Richard Thompson's cover of "Oops, I Did It Again"
