But isn't flashing your lights in Germany intepreted as


"Please good sir, the top speed of my vehicle appears to be greater than yours and I would greatly appreciate your moving over so I may proceed at my preferred velocity."

"Sure, no problem. And a good day to you too."

In the US, flashing your lights on the highway is more interpreted as "Hey, I'm a colossal impatient douche who thinks his time is more valuable than yours, move over!"

"I'm not moving over for this d!ck. Heck, I think I'll slow down a bit to match the right lane just to be annoying!"


So yeah, no real need to pass on the right in Germany. The people there actually know how to drive. But you kinda have to know how to drive when everyone is going 130mph.
