My son gave up Thanksgiving to compete in his big Fall competition only to have it canceled 2 days after. He has been gone since Aug 5 and missed the chance to see his brother for the first time in a year. He's feeling pretty bitter and just wanted to be home. These kids are lonely and isolated and have gone through hell. I don't begrudge them one bit.
