I agree with your first sentence, but not after that.

Bede is NOT a strong ballhandler. He's tentative and his turnovers are limited only because he doesn't penetrate much, doesn't create much. He's the guy who is most likely to pull the ball back out on a fast break. He's the guy who is most likely to overdribble on the perimeter for 10 seconds, then pass off to someone else on the perimeter, having accomplished nothing. He plays PG like Tua is currently playing QB- "don't make a mistake" is not going to get it done against good teams.

I also disagree that the ball slows up with Cattoor in the game, it's actually the opposite. Watch the film. Cattoor doesn't overdribble as much and the ball leaves his hands and swings around the court much quicker than it does with Bede.

You can survive with a PG who isn't a shooter or a scorer, IF that PG is great at setting up teammates. Or can break down defenses with his dribble. But if you can't shoot, don't create, and put no pressure on the D via getting into the lane, you are just filling space. At least Cattoor can shoot.

I think Bede needs a ceiling of 10 mins per game, specifically used to give other guys a rest when needed, or subbed in situationally if there is a specific player that we need to guard closely for a while.
