My pension isn't how I'm able to retire at 60.

It helps a bit, but my wife and I have been dedicated and intelligent investors in our 401k during our working careers. That's where our real financials are.

So yes, we have greatly benefitted from the long term market.

I've had my Series 6 securities license for years. Got a decent idea of how to do it.
