We were neighbors in Durham. I was single and his first wife was a resident at Unc so we hung out constantly. When that wife dumped him at the end of residency and married a doctor, he did what he always wanted to do and went to med school. At 30. He ended up in Arizona where his parents and brother lived, married an EMT and have a kid. He was in my wedding and one of the best dudes I’ve ever known.
