Had someone stop me in Lowe's to ask about fixing a washing machine leak

I sure wasn't wearing a Lowe's apron, and wasn't even wearing a blue shirt to be possibly confused with an employee. I asked if she realized I didn't work there, she said yes, she knew that, I just looked like someone who knew what they were doing and she couldn't find any employees that are helpful.

But yeah, your typical Lowe's or HD probably has one or two former contractors working plumbing or electrical that flat know their stuff. If you can find them, they are great. But if they are busy or that's their day off, you are absolutely on your own.
