L.B. for me 84-86. We got schooled by both Morgan and Porter a couple of years. Unbelievable to watch "blue chips" play HS ball, but they were really playing a different game. Botetourt had some 1000-pt dudes back then, but nothing like those guys.

Back then, the coaches were gods and legends in my mind. I had Don Meredith at LB. and his big adversary was Roland Malone at William Byrd. They both stood in the shadow though of Husky Hall down at Martinsville winning AA States about every year. The whole scene in the region seemed huge.
