Don Meredith and Husky Hall were also the golf coaches at their respective HS. The greatest event you could ever cover was a regional tournament with those two schools in it, because they both took the attitude "the only thing a coach needs to do is drive these guys to the course." The three of us would go off and play a round, and both of these guys were two of the funniest and most interesting guys you'll ever be around. Don had an opinion on everything.
