Just fixed my elderly mom's washer using a coat hanger and turkey baster

Was just trickling water in taking forever to fill. Hose was fine but found the screen at the inlet on the washer was crusted up and clogged. Screen didn't want to come out so i scratched on it with a coat hanger and then used the turkey baster to squirt water into it and flush out the gunk. Works like a charm now.
