The velocity in softball has always amazed me

add to it playing on a 60ft diamond and I'm amazed a ball ever gets put in play.

Other thing I've always been amazed by is the lack of stress the pitching motion causes. After coaching baseball for years and watching the damage coaches inflict on kids arms and all the rules in place to try to limit the damage, I was shocked to discover that the issue really doesn't exist in softball.
