I will qualify that opinion by saying without further context to know whether he clarified that statement by saying the buck stops with him. If he did that lessens the impact some but, that quote does not stand on its own. How does a coach ever expect his players to behave like a leader when his quote screams I am not a leader. You want your players to lead and be accountable then you model the behavior you expect from them.
