It has become the norm, but I don't believe it's the goal. I mean at this point, I don't know how anyone doesn't say NCS is the favorite again. With a very senior lineup, it would be their 4th straight ACC, which seems like forever. With a free year they could bring everyone back next year but I don't know how you handle numbers if you do that. State's 197 freshman just beat a top 5 guy in the country last night. If you get a chance to look at a recruiting site look at what they have coming in next year, scary. I'm not trying to write a State commercial here, in fact I still think on a good night we can still challenge them in a dual meet. I don't think anyone is laying down for them and just letting them take the conference. However, they are the elite team in the conference and until someone can take them down, they remain on top.
