I was on the bottom rung of the ladder pulling the opener off the top when
it suddenly slipped off the ladder at the other end next to the door knocking me backwards. I must have tried to catch it (dumb ass, it's trash anyway) hence the damage to my forearm and thumb. Hit my head on the floor lightly, but UrgentCare sent me to the ER because they said I had to have a CT Scan. Reason is I'm on Warfarin. CT didn't show anything, so bandaged the arm and thumb up and after a short hour and a half, on my way to dinner:) Thumb is worse due to a cut across the knuckle. It's in a splint for a couple of weeks. If I bend it, could open up the cut and never heal. Good thing I'm left handed except I do a lot of things with my right hand, like scissors. Never get the thumb through the ring. Can't get it wet, so looks like sponge baths for a while. Sigh
