I went Medicare Advantage last year for the wife and me. Last year the

monthly premium was ~$16/mo/ea. from BC/BS. Was going up to about $23 this year. Switched to a Humana plan w/ $0/mo and lower co-pays for specialist. Pays to shop around. Make sure your PCP, specialist, dentist, etc. are in-network. Check drug coverage. Our regular stuff (statin, etc.) are covered no charge w/ 90 day mail order.
(Thank goodness we are pretty healthy.)
Medicare Advantage definitely saved us a lot of money compared to the "letter" supplement plans.
