In Folly, there is a local modular named Paul Lauer. He's done a lot

of projects in Folly from single family houses to building bed and breakfasts (see Waters Edge). I dont know his general price points anymore, but I would guess about $150/sq ft. depending on the amount of customization.
We went another direction when we built, but I did find him to be reasonable.
In general, however...I've found it's best to not go where the locals steer ya ;). Some have tried to push "folly contractors" for a lot of our bigger projects....decking, driveways, home extensions, landscapers even. I've found their price points to be very high and not correlated to a superior quality. Low and behold, folly has a history of kickbacks which you can read about in the link I provided. I suspect other areas in low country may have such, as well. So, the best advice I can give on that is get smart on the subject matter, find someone you trust.
