1) Won NJ State Tourney as a Junior. 120 weight class. Beat Anthony Clark 7-3.
2) As a Senior at an absolutely loaded 126, he was the #1 seed in NJ state tourney (yes believe #2 overall at 126 at that point). 126 had Mackenzie Bell, Robert Howard (Howard won 1st beating Bell), Alex Almeyda, Nico Nardone among others.
3) Eddie lost a tough 5-4 TB decision in the semis to Bell. Believe Eddie got a bit injured in the match if I recall. Could be wrong.
4) Eddie progressed through wrestlebacks and then lost to Almeyda in the consolation semis, 5-2, “falling” to the 5th place match.
5) The wind was out of his sails a bit, but he rallied again and won the 5th place match by MD 15-2 against Nico Messina. Great perseverance. Believe wasris is correct above as it dropped him to 6th-10th in various final rankings.
6) Recall staff very high on him and that podcast about perhaps 125 lifer, but believe he has grown a bit. Will be interesting. Especially w/Cooper Flynn as a likely 4 yr guy at 125.
