Ranked #9
They have a world class aquatic facility, and if you look at the top polo schools, they are all no joke academically (Cal, Stanford, USNA, Harvard, Bucknell, GWU, Brown, etc).
They have some outstanding players and recently had one go to play professionally in Serbia, which is like sending a US soccer player to play in the Premiere League.
PA is actually a pretty big water polo state. Aside from Bucknell, LaSalle also has varsity polo. Gannon in Erie has won three of the last 4 CWPA D2 titles. Erie also has teams at Mercyhurst (D2) and Penn State Behrend (D3). Washington and Jefferson (D3) also has a varsity team. I'd be inclined to consider Salem University (D2) in WV as a PA team as well given the proximity to PA and far closer cultural relationship to PA than Appalachian WV. Thrown in GWU, USNA and Johns Hopkins, this is the best college water polo region outside of CA though I think in the next decade the real growth is in TX.
