Homeplate Ump seemed to have a tight zone, not giving Keeley some close borderline corner strikes. This seemed to give State hitters a false sense of security. They could not hit those pitches so they relied on the ump and "trusted" him to force Keeley to "pipe" pitches that they could hit. Keeley seemed to have none of that, as she relentlessly kept working those corners till she got a call or two. Then she worked a great change for a "K" to end State's biggest threat. A great adjustment for our All American on a night she did not have her best stuff.
