Zach Epperly IMHO was the greatest 3d place finisher


He was highly ranked and lost an early match in which he was favored. He then had to suck it up and work his way all the way through the bottom bracket to take 3d place, even beating the guy who originally relegated him to the bottom bracket. It was an amazing run, a truly gutsy performance when he could have crumbled after that early loss.
