Always gassed

I'm just wondering if anybody else has noticed, despite the few like Hughes, VT guys look in the worst shape always as anybody and the later it goes the worse it gets. I get it's grinding but we out wrestle guys but have head down and no movement at all in the third. Is it training? nutrition? How we prepare? Whatever it is I hope it changes to get these guys to the next level.
