I won’t tackle the spring game issue as that has many other threads but the money angle is interesting. There seems to be many ideas for how best to spend the money. One of the assertions by Fu and his supposed flirtation with Baylor was we don’t have the resources to compete and the school and donors need to step up. Some of the suggestions for the new funds seems to be up coordinator pay.
I have asked this before but will ask again: what would we do with $1M+ for each coordinator? Do we really believe CJF would say “well we have money to get a great offensive mind so sorry Brad, you have to hit the road?” If he hasn’t dismissed him up till now with some of the things we see on offense, our predictable playcalling, and poor late game playcalling, what makes anyone think more money helps? I don’t think this money (on the coordinators’ side) gets anyone anything other than a raise for CBC. Anyone else think differently?
