I would do a couple of things

First, I'd take the bull by the horns and develop a women's NCAA wrestling team and schedule joint wrestling meets. If people are going to pay to watch a wrestling match, let's given them more than 10 bouts. There is a novelty factor that fans would respond to. Plus, most folks don't realized that women's freestyle wrestling is actually pretty exciting to watch as there tends to be a good amount of action.

Second, I'd get the SERTC involved and have some exhibition bouts with our resident members to supplement the VT matches

Third, I'd look to align home meets with the basketball team schedule. Have a VT wrestling meet prior to a basketball game and give BB fans coming to the game an incentive/reason to come earlier and watch. That could help draw potential new fans who are typically basketball focused. You'd likely get a few hundred fans and/or students minimum who would decide to come early because they are now getting more VT entertainment for their already paid bucks.
