Strange comparison to pro sports, since college kids never stayed more than


~4 years anyway. That whole "name on the front of the jersey is more important than the name on the back" has always been more than just a cliche in college sports.

College in general is about fit and opportunity, even for non-athletes. Do you realize how many non-athletes transfer in/out of every school each year? You can gripe about kids not wanting to pay their dues, but each and every one of the kids that leave are doing so because they believe they simply have a better opportunity (and/or fit) elsewhere. I guess that's what you're saying is partially "selfish."
