Just ate the last of a bag of grapefruits that we bought at Costco. I realized after the first couple that each grapefruit had 1 and only 1 seed in it. That was confirmed as I payed attention to it as I ate the rest over the last couple weeks. Each had one seed.

I found that odd. Most fruits have multiple seeds, it is how they reproduce in the wild, and cross bred have none (they will sometimes have one or two it seems but usually none). Every single grapefruit having 1 and only 1 seed seems odd...

Hort or any of you plant types have an explanation for this?
