Well, you just never know


At the moment, the talent gap looks pretty wide, but a good recruiting class or two or the transfer portal could change things quickly.

UVA has a lot more to sell now with their new facilities. In speaking with a couple of UVA folks, the natives are certainly getting restless - especially with the success of the new programs at Duke and Clemson. He pointed out that it’s easier to create something new then to change the trajectory of something old, which is an excellent point, but most folks don't understand that.

And, of course, it only takes one bad game by VT or an excellent game by UVA to end it. And UVA has a lot of good young talent that will only get better - Abby Weaver is a good example of that.

Sorry for the long answer, but my crystal ball is fuzzy on this one.
