Done quickly, they can say they kept it in the family, they satisfied all the social concerns of the day, he knows the program inside and out, if he succeeds they got a homerun without much trouble or creating a potential bidding war with football, if things fail he satisfies the mantra of you do not want to be the guy that follows the guy and they move on largely unscathed financially or operationally to a new pool of candidates with likely fewer boxes to check next time. Good luck to Hubert, I hope he is not Matt Doherty Part Deux.
