Hmm...I need to look into this...

My son, from the time he was about 4 until about 12-13 got 2 or three "big" SW lego sets each year...B'day, Christmas, etc. It was his "thing".

We probably still have most of the minifig parts, but they're certainly all scrambled up...rong hats on rong heads on rong bodies attached to rong legs. People, aliens, droids.

Is there an easy reference on how to put all of these things back right? Also, he has a whole tub full of various and assorted blasters/light sabers/other weapons and paraphernalia...I assume to be attractive to a collector all of that would need to be correctly matched too?

If this is your thing, you can make him an offer on the lot. I could do a quick gather/sort and take some photos...
