They're repaving I-81 N-bound from Seven Mile Ford to MM 41...traffic...

on 81 N-bound is a nightmare. Vehicles backed up almost to Chilhowie (1 lane).

Folks are dropping off 81 at either Exit 35 or 32. Driving thru Chilhowie and Seven Mile Ford. The red light in Chilhowie backs up traffic and if the train is coming then that's a further headache.

Then the Lee Hwy Stop Sign in Seven Mile Ford (at Exit 39) had traffic almost backed up 2 miles. People would hop back on 81 at Exit 39 but there was still 2 more miles of repaving to get thru.

Those in the know would go the extra 100' and turn left on Lee Hwy go by the world famous Dip Dog Stand there's still the stop sign at Lee Hwy and Adwolfe Road, not to bad a wait. Then cross the I-81 overpass turn right back on Lee Hwy and then jump back on 81 at Exit 44 in Marion.

Still a mess because Lee Hwy is 2 lane for the majority of 9 miles but still faster than 81.
