If merit plays into the hosting selection decision, then both softball and baseball should be in good shape as they both deserve it.

But who knows what kind of parameters the NCAA will use in selecting the sites. Will prior experience enter the equation? Will state regulations on attendance? Who knows?

if they're smart, the timing of the softball and baseball regionals would allow VT to host both and everyone would benefit from shared resources, but who knows if the NCAA will even consider that.

I really appreciate your baseball updates.
