I loved the Caine Mutiny. I forget how old I was when my dad gave it...


to me to read, but probably a little older. There's some bad language so maybe another year or two. As a historical fiction book I felt like it tells the story of the war from a different perspective, written by someone who actually served aboard ship.

BTW, the rifle spring story in the book is true. My dad knew Herman Wouk's roommate, and he said that it actually happened. He was the one dangling out of the window.
