I think it should be an individual decision...

...particularly since the vaccines don't really seem to prevent anyone from transmitting COVID to another person. Based on what I've read, the vaccines primarily just protect those that are vaccinated from experiencing severe symptoms. If I get vaccinated, it doesn't appear that prevents me from passing COVID on to you.

So in that case, we're really not talking about young healthy people needing to get vaccinated to help protect the vulnerable. The vulnerable are the ones who need the vaccine. They are most at risk. As far as I'm concerned, it's not "selfish" for someone to choose to go unvaccinated if that decision isn't going to greatly endanger someone else.

Until recently, I haven't been eligible for the vaccine, but I am still trying to decide whether I will get vaccinated. I wouldn't discourage anyone else from getting vaccinated if that's what they want to do, and I simply ask the same respect from everyone else if I choose to forego the vaccines. I am far from an "anti-vaxxer", but I have a lot of questions about these particular vaccines, and let's just say that at this point I am highly suspicious of everything related to COVID due to the way things have been handled and reported.

Below is a link to a post that outlines some of the concerns I have. I haven't yet verified everything in this post, but it was shared with me by someone I trust, so I plan to look into it and continue to do my own research as I decide whether I'll get vaccinated or not.
