what a reasonable finish for the Hokies should be. Not with this squad, nor coach, but given the financial input to the program from all sources, the support from the fan base both mentally and financially compared to other programs, what is a reasonable average yearly finish? Is it sustained or does VT ebb and flow, having a great year once in a while in the middle of what some would deem mediocre campaigns on average, or should they just rip off 10+wins a year and not put up with anything less?

I have my thoughts, and to me, there are limitations. Is recruiting going as well as we would like?...no, the last couple years have been subpar, but 2022 is starting out pretty well. While we lost three good linemen, including two who just wanted out, the o-line will still be an asset this year, as well as the receivers. RB is a crapshoot. I believe talent is there if utilized properly. We now know the running game works when it is executed properly since we all saw what it could produce with a good running back. I'm with you on BB, but show me a college program without questions at QB. There aren't many.

Defensively I think VT surprises this year. I think Teerlink's system with a spring practice will flourish, and I think they have a good year overall. There is experience and some talent there along the front seven.

I'll stick with 9-3 based on what we know now.
