Things like "virtual tour" of a college are the kind of things->
that remind me how much it REALLY SUCKS for young kids today..ALL young kids.
I had an absolutely EPIC childhood, high school and college experience. It really makes me sad that kids today are missing out on ANY of that. I know it's only a year, or two, or three or.
Still, it really sucks for the kid not to actually get a FEEL for the colleges. I know it's easier of the parents doing it virtually. I remember wen mt nephew was deciding on a college and his mom took him on 2 separate "search of colleges in the Southeast" road-trips. I bet they visited more than a dozen campuses in person. I love my sister-in-law, but have NO question why he chose Washington U all the way out in St Louis when he lived in NOVA (and has spent time in LA and Chicago in his young career).
Still again, I really feel for your daughter having to pick a lifetime "home" virtually. [Post edited by HOKIERIT at 04/17/2021 10:07AM]
