I never understood the concept of betting on a decision that someone makes


Betting on the outcome of an athletic performance makes sense. There is a lot of built-in randomness and uncertainty that inherently comes with sport that makes gambling both fun and sensical.

But I don't understand either wanting to bet on who a team will draft, or accepting a bet on who a team will draft. Just seems a situation that is ripe for "insider trading," for lack of a better term.
