So this article states, "Knight had met D'Amour before at a softball tournament and had been told her scholarship was safe, she said."
So by your reasoning because the words after "tournament" in this article aren't "who told her that her scholarship was safe" then it's clearly a lie by a reporter at a regional rag trying to sell clickbait. Also, if it was known that the only way to reach this recruit was by email then why would Pete wait until July 23rd, the same week as PGF Nationals, to email her with the bad news? The article was very specific about that so if that didn't happen they're in defamation territory.
No, I didn't research in detail what happened and don't care because my kid never considered VT as a school to go to and play SB. It sounds like you did, your kid is happy with the coaches, playing and productive so good for her. In one of my posts to this thread I stated that outside of this message board the perception of what happened is more relevant than what really happened and Lady Lightning families are everywhere spreading the narrative about this that is more aligned with the article than yours.
I'm not going to chase down and reply to all the posts about my contribution to this thread and I don't care who thinks I'm trolling. You all are welcome to post on Sabre to let us know our SB program sucks (already know that) but your likely to get ignored or buried under S&D posts. I noticed you already replied to the OP who is no less of a Hokie fan than you are for raising this topic. I think HokieJack was looking for something a bit more objective than the typical message board homerism that you appear to provide in abundance.
