Met Collins, Aldrin and Armstrong at the Paris Air Show in 1989

I was in Paris with a group of Tech engineering students who built an X-30 mock-up for NASA that was displayed at the U.S. Pavilion, and someone I'll not name gave me and a friend tickets for a banquet held in honor of the Apollo 11 crew. Got a beautiful poster that all three men signed (though Aldrin's signature has faded over the years - doggone felt pen).

All were gracious, but Michael Collins was particularly nice and talked to me and my friend for several minutes while we were all surrounded by many folks who were far more important.

RIP
