D1 Softball projects the Hokies to Tuscaloosa as a #2 seed

The NCAA still hasn't officially released their initial 20 potential sites (which will end up being 16 on selection Sunday), so everything is just conjecture at this point.

D1 Softball has Alabama as a #4 seed overall.

Remember that the committee tries to keep teams somewhat regional where possible.

The projection has Duke and Notre Dame both as #2 seeds.
